Hi there! I’m Haleah, the proud owner and creator behind Purdy Gertie Pet Ware.

I'm sure you are wondering how one gets into making dog collars, well it all started with my horses. Yes you read that correctly! I really love to pick a special color for each of my animals and then make EVERYTHING match. In my quest for matchy matchy mastery I came across biothane and had to try it out! Not only was it super bight and colorful but it also had many added bonuses that leather didn't have. Needless to say I absolutely fell in love with it and now both of my horses have complete matching sets.

When I found myself with my new puppy love Gertie, it was time to get her all set up with her first collar and leash. So off to the pet store I went, I saw biothane! I was super excited and instantly knew that is exactly what I wanted. Until I grabbed it, it was obvious that this was not the same material I was used to. Turns out it was a cheap knock off from China and being sold for 3 times the price!

After I got home I began to research, and the idea to start my own business was beginning to take hold. Now I am not a person to jump into things so I played with the idea for MONTHS but it was just something I knew I had to do. I ordered a couple rolls of colors, a press, and some hardware and fell in love. Purdy Gertie Pet Ware was then born and I haven't looked back! I only use 100% biothane made right here in the USA and the quality speaks for itself. Ware.
